We are happy to share the names and information about the organizations which received support from us in 2019 from funds raised by East Spokane Kiwanis. Twenty One organizations were presented a total of $17,000 in grants in July 2019.

American Childhood Cancer Association helps make a difference in the lives of the nation’s childhood cancer patients, survivors & their amilies.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Northwest helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with measurable results. Our vision is successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County has provided thousands of young people, between the ages of 6-18 years old, with a safe and positive place to go after school and throughout the summer; times during the year when kids are considered most at-risk.
Big Table exists to see the lives of those working in the restaurant and hospitality industry transformed by building community around shared meals and caring for those who are in crisis, transition, or falling through the cracks. This community and care are open to all in the industry without condition.
Christ Kitchen is a job-training project providing work, instruction, discipleship, support, and fellowship for women living in poverty in the Spokane area. Through the production and sales of gourmet dried food products and catered meals, this project enables women to learn to work, to become employable and, eventually, to support themselves and their families without reliance on government programs or destructive relationships.
Elevating children with special needs to reach their full potential by providing access to the resources and support they need to improve their families' overall quality of life.
Family Promise of Spokane was founded in 1997 to help homeless families by providing stability, empowering sustainability and coaching to help others in need. We do that by providing four programs that help prevent homelessness, provide stability through our shelters and coaching through our aftercare programs.
Feed Spokane safely rescues prepared foods from local area restaurants and grocery providers. It then supplies it to non-profit organizations that serve free meals to those in need. It is safe. It is simple. It is the right thing to do.
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Our process is simple. Donations given by people just like you fund the meal ingredients. Volunteers hand-pack the meals. Meals are donated to FMSC food partners around the world, where kids are fed and lives are saved!
INWFMA is a collective of neighborhood farmers’ markets serving the Greater Spokane Area. While we celebrate each market’s unique placement and contribution to Spokane’s community, we also recognize that we are stronger together.
Mission Community Outreach Center located at 1906 E Mission Ave serves low income individuals and families in east Spokane with a free clothing bank and by providing baby care items and personal care hygiene items.
The mission of Partnering for Progress is to help provide access to health care, education, sanitation and clean water to residents in developing countries. In Kenya this effort has an immediate impact on the children, who are most at risk.
Spokane's Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort ( S.C.O.P.E ) Northeast is active and continually helping law enforcement. Operation Family ID is a community service of Spokane County and the City of Spokane. Our mission is to have all children or any person who has the potential to wander off or become missing have identification.

The Spokane Eastside Reunion Association (SERA) feeds the Soul of Spokane through our neighborhood ministry—bringing restoration and opportunities to the Eastside Community.
St Ann's Sunday Lunch serves hot meals to those in need, including children, women, men, low-income, homeless, seniors each Sunday.
Transitions operates five, formerly separate, programs, each working to end poverty and homelessness for women and children in Spokane in a unique way.
Established in 1983, Wishing Star Foundation fosters hope, community, and lasting memories by granting wishes to children with life-threatening conditions between the ages of 3 and 21, living in Spokane, the Tri-Cities and local outlying areas. A child does not need to be terminal to qualify for a wish.
Women & Children's Free Restaurant & Community Kitchen is a vital safety net which fills nutritional gaps for women and children in need while fostering dignity and respect, both within our restaurant and in the community.
